Track and Field events:

Sprints(100m,200m), Middle Distance(400m,800m), Distance(1500m,3000m), Relays(4x100,4x400), Throws (discus, shot, javelin), Jumps(high, long, triple), pole vault and hurdles (80/100/110/200/400).  Special Training in triple jump and pole vault available through affiliated clubs.  Some events are not offered to or are modified for the younger age groups.

Track Meets:

Track meets are from 8 am to (usually) around 5 pm. We will always have an order of events, but we will never be able to give you an exact time that your child will be competing as once the meet begins it is a rolling start for each race. Our meets are really fun, most of our kids enjoy cheering on their teammates even when they are not racing, so we've provided a list of some tips to help you have a good (albeit long!) day!

If you have a canopy tent, bring it! Not all track fields have good shaded areas. We normally set up a tent city for the Fishers Fire so we can all hang out together for the day and have a home base. As there is not always grass and it can sometimes be windy in Indy, you might also bring weights to hold your canopy tent legs down. 

Bring Chairs! Bring a book! Bring entertainment! Especially for brothers and sisters who might not be as amped up for the day of running as your runner is

Pack a cooler! Pack your breakfast, lunch, snacks, and lots and lots of water and drinks. It can be HOT during these meets and you'll want to make sure not only your runner is hydrated but you are as well. There are usually concessions open, but just in case it is always a good idea to bring a cooler full of everything you and your runner will need. 

Always. Wear. Your. Sunscreen. And bring more to reapply throughout the day!
